Keith Heikes
Keith and his brother, Kevin, are the co-owners of Factory Direct Furniture & Furniture Express. Prior to entering the furniture business, Keith worked in banking and in the automotive electronics industry. Keith has lived in Hutchinson the majority of his life and is a HHS graduate. When not at work, Keith enjoys motorcycling, golf, snowmobiling, Vikings games and BBQ'ing. Keith is also very active with the Hutchinson Rotary Club, a division of Rotary International. Keith & his wife Tess live in Hutchinson along with Tess’s son Peyton who is in 6th grade.
Kevin Heikes
This is Kevin's 2nd time around as a co-owner of Factory Direct Furniture & Furniture Express. Kevin and his father, Jim, ran Factory Direct from 1985 to 1995. Prior to this adventure, Kevin worked in the automotive and insurance worlds but the lure of retail furniture caught his attention once again. Kevin enjoys nearly anything sports related, especially Gophers, Vikings & Twins games and also enjoys reading. Kevin's wife of 26 years teaches 1st grade in Hutchinson. Their son, Kyle, recently began attending UMD. Katelyn, their daughter, is in 9th grade in Hutchinson.
Dawn Ashburn
Dawn has been in the furniture business for 21 years. She has great suggestions to help you with your decorating needs! Dawn can also help you with your window coverings. A number of her drapes/blinds are on display at our Hutchinson location. Dawn is very creative and keeps current with the latest trends in decorating. Dawn's husband, Dave, works at 3M. They have 3 daughters, all out of town, so they keep busy traveling.
Bruce Bradley
Bruce is a long-term Factory Direct Furniture fixture. He has been affiliated with the store for 22 years. Bruce can help you find furniture to meet your needs--both in comfort and in finances! In his spare time, Bruce can be found entertaining with his German band, Alpensterne. He has traveled internationally with his polka music for more years than he cares to admit and is a member of the Minnesota Music Hall of Fame. He enjoys traveling, taking his wife (Jolene) and daughter (Erika) along any chance he gets.
Kim Heikes
Kim works at both the Hutchinson & Waconia locations. She enjoys working with the customers and finding just the right fit for your home. Kim lived in St. Louis, MO for 20 years, working in the banking world. Kim enjoys reading, watching movies, and spending time with her 8 nieces & nephews.
Doug Ide
Doug is part of our warehouse/delivery staff. He has been in the furniture world for 23 years. He is the go-to guy if you have a repair issue or need to know if an item will fit in your vehicle! Doug enjoys horses and hard work.
Patti Rutledge
Patti is a great asset to the Factory Direct Furniture family. With a wonderful eye for design, a flare for creativity, and a fantastically outgoing personality, many customers have enjoyed the experience of working with Patti when selecting their items and continue to ask for her by name. Patti creates many of the floral arrangements you see displayed in our store, as well as stemware and vases. She creates awesome arrangements around the Christmas holiday, so be sure to check those out! Patti and her husband, Lenni, have a son and daughter, both students in Hutchinson. They recently enjoyed a family vacation to Mexico.
Mike Tonn
Mike is usually found in the warehouse or out on the road delivering furniture. A child of Lester Praire, MN, Mike joined our team after retiring from a career in the Air Force and working at HTI. His military training provided Mike with a great attention to detail. Mike is a sports minded individual that enjoys snowmobiling and motorcycling as well as watching the Vikings and NHRA Drag Racing. Mike and his wife Chris live in Hutchinson and have one son, Eric, who also lives in Hutchinson.
Jeremiah Markgraf
Jeremiah works in the warehouse/delivery area of the store and brings a wonderful amount of furniture experience having spent most of his adult life working in furniture. He has the opportunity to travel, primarily throughout central Minnesota, while ensuring you get the furniture you purchased and that it is set up where you want it. Jeremiah enjoys hockey, mountain biking, and spending time with his nieces. He lives in Hutchinson.
Joni Strehlke
Joni is the newest member of our team. She works at both the Hutchinson and Waconia locations. Joni and her husband, Jim, and their two sons live in Mayer. Joni has great customer service skills and can help you find what you are looking for. When not working, Joni enjoys music and motorcycling. Her husband is a member of the German band Alpensterne with Bruce, so she also enjoys traveling to hear them play.
Terry Grenke
Terry helps on our warehouse and delivery team and has been with us for 3 years. When not working at Factory Direct Furniture, Terry enjoys Twins baseball and anything automotive related.
