Did you know?
The building that is now home to Factory Direct Furniture & Mattresss 1st on Highway 7 East here in Hutchinson was originally a roller rink called Minnesota Fun! The roller rink was owned and operated by our co-founder and the 1st generation of our family business, James 'Jim' Heikes! Our current owner, Jim's son Keith, was a kid when the store was a roller rink! Jim, Keith, and Keith's older brother Kevin re-opened the furniture store in 2007 and additional members of the family have been a part of our family business since then including Keith's older sister Kim for many years as well as five 3rd-generation family members over the years!

At Factory Direct Furniture, our name is our promise: to bring you top-quality home furniture and mattresses without the middleman markup. When we opened our doors in 1985, most furniture stores bought through wholesale distributors, forcing customers to pay extra middleman costs. We set out to change that by partnering directly with leading furniture manufacturers. Sourcing straight from the factory eliminates unnecessary markups, allowing us to pass deep savings on to our friends, family, and neighbors every single day. While the home furnishings industry has evolved over the past 40+ years, our commitment remains unchanged—delivering exceptionally comfortable mattresses, quality built stylish living room, dining, and bedroom sets, and the best furniture and mattress values in Central Minnesota.
